Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) is additional funding for early years settings to raise the quality of early years education and improve the outcomes for disadvantaged 3 and 4 year olds. It is paid to Early Years settings who deliver funded Early Education sessions for 3 and 4 year olds. Children are eligible for EYPP if
• They have been looked after by the local authority for one day or more
• They have been adopted from care
• They have left care under a special guardianship order or residence order
or if their parents are in receipt of
• Income Support
• Income-based Jobseekers Allowance
• Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
• Support under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
• The guaranteed element of the State Pension Credit
• Child Tax Credit (provided they’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)
• Working Tax Credit run-on, which is paid for 4 weeks after they stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
• Universal Credit
To enable us to find out if your child could be eligible for EYPP we need the name, date of birth and either their national insurance number or national asylum seekers number of their parent.
